Si bien esta banda no tiene una discografía extensa y no han presentado un trabajo nuevo desde hace varios años (sus integrantes están ocupados con otros proyectos) la discografía de A Perfect Circle es muy disfrutable.

A Perfect Circle es un grupo de rock formado en 1999 por el guitarrista Billy Howerdel y el líder de Tool Maynard James Keenan. La primera formación de la banda incluía a Paz Lenchantin como bajista, al guitarrista Troy Van Leeuwen y a Tim Alexander como batería. La última formación de la banda contaba con el bajista de Marilyn Manson y antiguo miembro de Nine Inch Nails Jeordie White; el antiguo guitarrista de The Smashing Pumpkins, James Iha; y el batería de sesión Josh Freese, más conocido por su trabajo con Nine Inch Nails y The Vandals. A pesar de los constantes cambios en la formación, el contenido estilístico de las canciones se ha mantenido constante con Howerdel como compositor y Keenan como letrista.

Y seguimos con las discografías, esta vez la de una banda bastante conocida en el mundo del metal.

Mastodon es una banda estadounidense de metal progresivo fundada en 2000 por los guitarristas Brent Hinds y Bill Kelliher, el batería Brann Dailor y el bajista Troy Sanders en Atlanta. Aunque comenzaron como quinteto, con el vocalista Eric Saner, la banda se caracteriza por ser un cuarteto en el que los miembros comparten las labores vocales en los distintos temas. Con la excepción de su álbum debut, Remission, todos los trabajos de la banda han entrado en el Billboard 200; a destacar el top 10 alcanzado por The Hunter.

Hoy les traigo la discografía de una banda que creo yo, no necesita presentación, o por lo menos no si estas familiarizado con el post-metal. Por desgracia para todos la banda se separó en 2010 dejándonos con apenas cinco álbumes de estudio en su discografía, aunque los miembros de la banda explicaron en su despedida que ya habían realizado todo lo que querían y que ya no quedaba nada mas por hacer.

Isis fue una banda fundada en Boston, Massachusetts en 1997. El grupo ha sido influenciado en gran parte por la obra de bandas como Neurosis y Godflesh, pioneros del género. Además, ha ayudado a evolucionar el género, creando música en forma de canciones de larga duración que se centran en la repetición y la evolución de estructura. Como tal, se usa una amplia gama de nombres para describir su sonido, incluyendo avant-garde metal, post-metal, sludge metal, rock progresivo e incluso rock experimental.
El 19 de Mayo de 2010, la banda anunció mediante un comunicado oficial su separación definitiva.
